I sculpt because I want to leave my mark in time...my mark in life.
Life is precious, your time is precious. Every second of every
moment that ticks by can never be recaptured. When I sculpt I try
to capture moments in life that are beautiful and tell a story. My
work can be interpreted in many ways but it always tells the story.
What better way to capture a moment in time than in
Bronze?
My subjects can be many but I prefer the male and female figures.
They each hold so much beauty. That has to be said and it can never
be said loud enough. You must see it to feel it. Only then can you
understand it.
When I sculpt the male figure I think of power and I feel honor; a
glory that demands respect. The body of the male is strong and
quick, while the skin is soft and sleek. The muscles, in their
movements, are confident and sure. A balance that makes him
beauty in motion.
T o me, there is nothing as beautiful as a woman. In her figure
there is a quiet whisper that is unmistakable. It says she is soft,
tender and delicate...yet powerful. She is honor, comfort, love and
more. It can be heard in her motion as she walks, maybe the way she
moves her lips. It can be seen in the way her hair falls as she washes
it or in the shape of her hand as she brushes her hair behind her ear.
Anyone can say that her eyes are beautiful, but look at the shoulder
and the nape of the neck that leads to the ear and line of the jaw.
Watch the movement of her hands and fingers, or how she stretches
after she wakes...there is nothing more beautiful than a woman.
